When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password. When you use the app, we collect information about your activity including venues you visit, check-ins, favorites, and itineraries you create. If you grant location permission, we use your location to show nearby venues — we do not store your precise location history. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
We use your information to provide the app's features — including check-ins, points, itineraries, and event notifications. We use your email to send account-related communications. We use aggregate, anonymized data to improve the app and understand how people explore the Finger Lakes.
Your data is stored securely using Supabase (supabase.com), a cloud database provider. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Row-level security ensures your personal data is only accessible to you.
The Eleven Lakes Guide uses the following third-party services: • Supabase — database and authentication (supabase.com/privacy) • Google Maps — map display and venue location data (policies.google.com/privacy) • Google Places — venue information and photos (policies.google.com/privacy) • Sentry — crash reporting (sentry.io/privacy) These services may collect data as described in their own privacy policies.
If you choose to sign in with Apple, we receive a unique identifier and optionally your name and email address from Apple. We use this only to create and manage your account.
We request location access to show you nearby venues and help you navigate. Location is used only while the app is in use and is not stored or shared. You can revoke location access at any time in your device settings.
We request camera access to scan QR codes at venues for check-in. We do not capture, store, or transmit photos or video.
The Eleven Lakes Guide is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us at hello@theelg.com. You can delete your account from within the app.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via the app or email. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
