Divided Sky takes its name from the sky over Keuka Lake, which on certain afternoons splits itself between clouds and clear blue in a way that's particular to the Y-shaped lake and its surrounding hills. The winery is a small estate operation farming the western bluff.

The wines focus on what the bluff does best: cool-climate whites with precision and aromatics, and Cabernet Franc from the sections of the vineyard that warm up enough to ripen red grapes. The tasting room is intimate and the owners are present — the kind of place where the person pouring the wine can explain exactly which block it came from.
